Krista Gibson, DVM

Dr. Gibson grew up in Scottsdale and left many years ago to pursue a career as a veterinarian. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison Veterinary School in 1996. Her adventures took her all over the country and finally came back full circle to Scottsdale where she is now the proud owner of Kierland Animal Clinic. She spends her free time with her husband Tom, four dogs, Scooter, Badger, Betty and Bindi, and two cats, Sherman and Princess Fiona. She enjoys mountain biking, painting and spending time with family and friends.

Leigh Ann Stastny, DVM

Dr. Stastny grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated from Kansas State Veterinary College in 1995. Leigh Ann moved to Arizona after graduating and has called it her home ever since. She has worked in small general practices as well as large, multi-doctor practices. She joined the Kierland Animal Clinic team in October 2019. She enjoys surgery and has found a new passion in shelter medicine and being a part of their recovery and journey to finding new homes. She has a Pitbull-Chihuahua mix named Maizee and a Boston Terrier, Mille. She enjoys acrylic painting, alcohol inks, and spending time with family and friends.

Erin

Erin joined the Kierland Animal Clinic team in March 2018. She graduated from the University of Maryland in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Management, Plant and Wildlife. She spent two years as a wildlife biologist before pursuing a career in the veterinary field. For the last 25 years she has worked as a certified veterinary technician (CVT), Client Relations Specialist and Hospital Manager. She spends her free time with her husband of almost 20 years, two Labrador Retrievers, Moose and River, and her very spoiled cat, Maggie. She enjoys hiking, camping and fishing.

Kendall

Kendall joined the Kierland Animal Clinic team in July 2014 when it was Animal Medical Services of Scottsdale. He has been working in the field for a total of 8 years. His favorite part of the job is building rapport with clients and their animals. He has two cats, Rosie and Little-bit, and a Pitbull-mix named Bear. He enjoys reading, movies, music and playing the guitar.

Eric

Eric joined the Kierland Animal Clinic team in June 2018. He first developed an interest in becoming a veterinary technician after observing a mass-removal surgery. He knew then this was the career he wanted to pursue. He has been working as a technician for 8 years. His special interests are dentistry and lab diagnostics. He has two dogs and one cat.

Nikki

Nikki joined the Kierland Animal Clinic team in July 2019. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute as a certified veterinary assistant in December 2017. Her favorite parts of her job are puppy breath, meowing at kittens, building relationships with clients and patients, and assisting in surgical preparation and monitoring. She shares a love for all things Halloween with her 12-year-old son. She has two cats, Hades and Maus.

Courtney

Courtney joined the Kierland Animal Clinic team in June 2019. She graduated from Grand Canyon University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and is looking to further her education by attending veterinary school. She is passionate about animal welfare and helping to provide them with quality and compassionate care. She has two dogs, Oakley and Jellybean. In her free time, she volunteers at an animal shelter and also plays the ukulele.

Gracie

Gracie joined the Kierland Animal Clinic team in July 2020. She moved here from Senoia, Georgia and decided she wanted to pursue a career as a veterinary technician after working as a kennel assistant at a Pet Resort. This sparked her dedication and passion for wanting to help animals and further her career. She graduated from the Penn Foster veterinary assistant program and plans to take her education to the next level by achieving an associate and bachelor degree in the veterinary health program and becoming a certified canine obedience trainer. Her favorite part of the job is working with our multiple shelter animals. She wants to play her part in helping them find their forever homes. Gracie has two Golden Retrievers, Tucson and Arizona. She is looking to possibly expand her fur-family with a kitten or German Shepherd. Her hobbies include spending time in nature, watching horror movies, Pinterest, attending live music events and thrifting.
